'Years of swimming and diving in Mauritius have left
in my mind visual imagery of a wonderful world that lies under the surface of the sea.
To express the miracle of the underwater landscape of Mauritius, I produced a series of vases.
To achieve the luminous and serene quality of the pieces, I sourced the best clay from Jingdezhen. The underglaze copper-red, the rarest and most technically challenging of all colours, makes every handmade and handpainted piece unique and timeless.'
